What is an "Expert Portfolio" and why is it vital?

The Expert Portfolio is a digital asset that highlights your value proposition, skill sets, industry experience, and track record of achievements, allowing you to create specialised portfolios for project matching.

The conventional procedure consists of three steps: submitting a concise pitch to the customer, followed by a detailed proposal (if requested), and lastly, contract initiation and signing.

A proposal is a detailed document created after a successful pitch. It clearly outlines the project’s objective, deliverables, chosen engagement model, fees, and necessary terms and conditions.

Yes, you can create multiple portfolios to showcase your diverse expertise across different industries or domains. The platform initially offers two free portfolios.

Creating a portfolio is critical for professionals to demonstrate their worth and establish themselves as credible brands in their respective fields. An expert’s talents go far beyond their CV, as their experience speaks volumes about their knowledge. A portfolio allows you to fulfil several responsibilities while also effectively highlighting your skills.

The Expert Portfolio feature lets you create multiple models, each highlighting a specific skill set. Customers can evaluate your portfolio to learn about your track record, accomplishments, and the influence you have made on firms. By demonstrating your value creation and skill set, you boost your chances of landing projects that allow you to realise your full potential.

Including videos in your portfolio enhances your profile and provides potential clients with a comprehensive understanding of your expertise. Videos boost your credibility and help consumers get to know you better, thereby increasing your chances of securing project opportunities

We encourage experts to create profile videos that highlight their unique value proposition, industry experience, skill set, and results. To maintain clarity and conciseness, keep the video under 60 seconds.

All essential communication, including the scheduling and details of project calls, is managed directly through the centralised project workspace chat window and email notifications.

An elevator pitch is a brief statement that highlights your unique value proposition, skill sets, and demonstrable accomplishments for prior clients. It appears on your Portfolio Card and in your portfolio, serving as a significant tool for capturing customers’ attention and demonstrating the value you can provide. The ideal pitch should not exceed 150 characters. You can utilise one of the platform’s available templates or develop your own compelling pitch.

“Projects” showcase your previous projects for other customers, while “Offerings” represent your service catalogue or the value offerings you provide to customers. These tabs on your portfolio page differentiate between previous projects and the services you offer.

A pitch is an effective way to introduce yourself to a customer in response to a project demand.

You can provide a synopsis of the top three significant experiences, including successes, a list of applicable abilities, and a cover letter explaining why you are a good fit for the project.

When you click the ‘Interested’ option on any project, you will be able to provide your pitch, applicable talents, and educational information. After you’ve finished entering all of your information, click the submit button.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully sent your pitch to the customer. Please allow the customer to request a proposal or propose a call.

Yes, you can accept, decline, or reschedule a customer-initiated call. Click the “reschedule call” option to select a date and time that works for you, then schedule a call.

Yes, you can delete portfolios you’ve created by selecting the “Delete” option in the top right corner of your Portfolio Card. However, every expert must have at least one portfolio on the site.

What kind of businesses does nicheBrains serve?

nicheBrains is an AI-powered transformation platform, intended exclusively for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and MSMEs in India, with a focus on clients dealing with essential growth and digital transformation challenges.

Our experts are engaged in formulating strategies, driving digital transformation initiatives, solving Marketing and Operations challenges, ERP validation, and providing high-level Leadership coaching.

The platform is designed for agility. Once you assess and post your problem, you can access and engage with the right expert quickly, whether the need is for a day, a week, or a short-term project.

Our engagement models are highly flexible. You can engage an expert for focused, short-burst assignments, from a single day or week to a multi-month project, avoiding rigid, long-term contracts.

The engagement price is determined using the expert’s proposed engagement model (hourly, daily, or project-based) plus an established nicheBrains facilitation fee to ensure transparency.

Project progress and transformation milestones are tracked in real time within the project workspace, with a focus on achieving the defined, measurable business outcomes outlined in the proposal.

What is dTAS?

nicheBrains’ Digital Transformation Advisory Solution (dTAS) is a dynamic tool that helps SMEs analyse their business’s digital readiness. You will be given four sets of multiple-choice questions, each requiring 3 to 5 minutes to complete. Based on your comments, dTAS provides insights, resources, and assessments to help you understand your organisation’s current health.

Digital transformation is no longer a choice. All organisations must identify gaps and take the required steps to make their operations future-proof. Unlike billion-dollar corporations, MSMEs do not have access to huge consulting firms to assess their businesses’ digital preparedness. This is precisely where dTAS can benefit your business.

The assessment consists of questions based on several critical characteristics. It not only assesses your existing situation but also makes necessary recommendations, insights, and resources to help your organisation flourish.

If you are a nicheBrains registered customer, you can find the dTAS button in the upper-right menu bar, just below your profile. To complete the assessment, click the dTAS button and then follow the on-screen instructions.

The dTAS consists of four dimensions, each with a set of multiple-choice questions. They are as follows,

Strategy and Leadership

This dimension emphasises the necessity for firms to shift digitally. It assesses factors such as understanding of the external environment and corporate performance, leadership preparation, and the significance of digital transformation.

Operations and Marketing

The digital transformation of operations and marketing assesses the functional readiness and the level of digital transformation across aspects such as the Shop floor, Supply Chain, and Marketing.

Technology Adoption/Landscape

Understanding technology and its impact on the company is critical to a successful digital transformation. This component analyses how organisations use technology to grow their business. This covers commercial apps, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.

Capability and Team

This dimension focuses on the team’s skills and competencies. It examines the team’s readiness to adopt modern technology.

What is an engagement model?

The engagement model relates to the time units and expert fees proposed to the consumer. An expert can opt to work by the hour, day, week, month, or project. The engagement cost is calculated according to the engagement model you select.

Based on your engagement model, you get to quote a fee for the project. The amount you quote is added to the nicheBrains facilitation fee. The final total is known as the engagement fee.

Once you submit the proposal, the customer must initialise the contract for you to access the contract document.

If you wish to withdraw a contract submitted to the customer, you must contact nicheBrains’ helpdesk.

No, you can only make further changes to the document once it is in the project workspace.

Once you navigate to the deliverables screen from the workspace chat window, you can view the status of the deliverables on the cards.

The platform facilitates seamless, secure payments in accordance with the agreed-upon engagement model and contract-defined milestones, ensuring timely payment to the expert upon deliverable approval.

Yes, nicheBrains maintains a high standard of data security and confidentiality. All critical project inputs and communications are managed within a digitally enabled, secure environment.

To upload your first project, register and log in as a customer. To view all posted projects, click the projects tab in the left menu, which also includes a card to add a new project.

Login >> Profile >> Project >> Projects List

Global professionals registered on nicheBrains with years of experience across various industries will be able to review your proposal. You will be paired with the most suitable expert based on your project requirements.

You can reach out to an expert on call after you receive the proposal. Calls can be scheduled with all the experts who have sent you a proposal.

When you click the experts apply icon on the project card, you will see a list of Experts who have applied to that particular project. Here, you can schedule a call with the Expert or decline the Expert. When you schedule a call with the expert at a convenient time, the expert can accept, decline, or reschedule. If the call is rescheduled, you can select another suitable time.

Login >> Projects >> List of Projects >> Experts applied >> Schedule a call

Yes, you can ask and review proposals from more than one expert for a particular project, but you can only finalise one proposal to the contract stage.

Yes, you can accept, reject, or request more information using the buttons below the proposal box.

You can initiate the contract process only if you reach an agreement on all terms.

Project execution is the most crucial phase of your collaboration with the expert. After the contracting procedure is completed, project implementation begins. This step involves delivering agreed-upon deliverables, making payments, and meeting deadlines.

Once you schedule a call from the project workspace, an email with all the call details will be sent to you and the expert. A reminder with the call link will also be sent to you in the chat box.

As soon as the expert updates a new deliverable, you will receive an email notification and a reminder in the workspace.

You can access deliverables from the action buttons present below the chat box.
